American Red Cross

The American Red Cross came to us to make significant enhancements to their blog site. They were looking for a unified destination with an attractive, responsive, and organized web design that made for an easy to navigate, user-friendly site. As the most well known humanitarian organization that provides emergency assistance, disaster relief and education in the United States, this task was not only exciting, it was important.

Gigawatt is proud to work with the American Red Cross, hosting their blog Red Cross Chat.

SOLUTION

Our goal for this refresh included a full restructure of the site’s taxonomy versus just the aesthetic. We built an emergency alert system so that Red Cross can now communicate to site visitors while keeping the site optimized – with high-speed access – while staying responsive across multiple platforms.

The Red Cross WordPress blog is now fully customized, with a unified theme and website design. We created back end user friendly control panels for Red Cross content creators and we continue to monitor and optimize the site for the best user experience possible. The custom module has helped the organization to effectively communicate its needs and attract donations to specific needs and causes nationwide, as they arise.
